Robert Young Out of Hours Provision

Our emergency service is now provided by e-vets at Border Vets, Galashiels. When we are not available your pet will be attended by the e-vets team at Border Vets. e-vets operates in the same manner as a human A&E department providing care outside normal surgery hours but with follow up care provided by our practice.

The facilities at e-vets include a fully equipped surgery and a veterinary surgeon and nurse team on site. In addition to immediate attention for those out of hours illnesses & injuries, the team can provide constant supervision for the more critical cases.

Out of hours’ pricing will vary depending on the nature and time of the call. The standard consultation fees at e-vets are:

• 6pm- 11pm fees start from £100
• 11pm- 8.30am fees start from £120

Plus the cost of any treatment and medication.
If you have pet insurance your policy should cover these fees for you.

If you need us outside normal practice hours please ring either of the surgery numbers. A recorded message will give you e-vets telephone number. When you speak to a member of the team they will advise & help you.

e-vets will arrange for clinical information about the care provided to be returned to us to ensure your pet’s records remain up to date.
