X-Ray examination is now an everyday procedure for the investigation of orthopaedic and other diseases in dogs, cats and other small animals. The practice has its own AJEX 140H X-Ray tube and a Konica Minolta Digital Processing unit. This allows us to carry out X-Ray examinations as soon as is necessary ie in an emergency and on the day of surgery.

Digital X-Ray equipment is comparable to digital photography in that an image is available immediately on a computer screen. Use of digital X-Rays allows us to submit X-Rays for the Kennel Club scoring schemes.

Please note it is normal practice to sedate or anaesthetise cats, dogs and other small animals in order to achieve safe and accurate X-Rays.
